PRICES AND BOOKING
When attending our regular Thursday classes, you have three options for payment:

-
Pay for an entire Level 1 term up-front
-
Pay for Level 2 classes on a drop-in basis
-
Pay the Social Only price on a drop-in basis

No matter which option you choose, you will only ever be asked to pay once per night. Our members receive discounts on every event.

Level 1 Tickets

Tickets for a Level 1 term go on sale two weeks before the first class in the term, and will remain on sale until immediately before the third class in the term. Tickets are booked via Dancecloud only. For this class, you must book in advance and pay for the entire term up front even if you can't attend every week.
*for a 6-week term - price will vary for shorter / longer terms
Level 2 Tickets

Tickets for Level 2 are purchased on the door on a drop-in basis via card payment only.
Social-only Tickets

Social-only tickets are purchased on the door on a drop-in basis via card payment only. They may only be purchased after the last class of the evening has commenced.
Can dancers attend both Level 1 and Level 2?

Dancers who attend the Level 2 class on an evening may also attend the Level 1 class at no extra cost, provided the Level 1 class is not full. The Level 1 class will typically be full for the first two terms of each calendar year (January-April).

Dancers who attend the Level 1 class may also attend the Level 2 class at no extra cost provided the Level 2 class is not full. They must notify the ESDS volunteer on the door before doing so to ensure we correctly record attendance.

Do I need to book with a partner?

You don't need to book with a partner. When you attend our classes, you may either rotate partners throughout the class or remain with a specific consenting partner throughout the class. If you rotate, you will be expected to dance with everyone you encounter (see our code of conduct for more details). We recommend rotating partners in order to become a more flexible, adaptable dancer.

Concessions

We offer reduced price tickets to members of the society, students, individuals that have passed their UK state pension age, and those in receipt of universal credit. To pay these reduced prices, please present photographic ID to our door volunteers (for example, a student ID card), or an ESDS membership card (which we will digitally validate).

Refunds

You may request a refund for a Level 1 term for any reason at any point prior to the start of the third class in that term by emailing info@esds.org.uk.

Refunds are not available for Level 2 or Social-only tickets.

Payment methods
ESDS is a cashless organisation. Tickets may be purchased via Dancecloud or (for drop-in tickets) via card payment (Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay etc) only.
