What is a Tea Dance?
A Tea Dance is Afternoon Tea with a Dance!
We typically run Tea Dances from 2pm to 5pm on a Sunday, and will organise roughly 2-4 Tea Dances per year. They feature live music, free tea and coffee and a selection of community-furnished cakes and biscuits. We intend for them to be more welcoming and more accessible spaces than our Band Nights and events featuring tuition.
Bring in your bakes for a chance to win a free ticket!
At Tea Dances, we invite our dancers to bring in their cakes and biscuits to share with our community! If you do, we'll enter you into a raffle to win a free ticket to the next Tea Dance.
If you're bringing in cakes or biscuits, please ensure:
-
You know what your recipe is called.
-
You know which of the 14 regulated allergens are present in your food.
-
You know whether your food is vegetarian or vegan.
-
Your food is divided into individual portions, or you have brought the means to do so with you.
-
Your food is packaged in a way that can be rearranged into a display without the need for extra plates or bowls.
We will use this information to create a handwritten label for your food and present it together with the other contributions. Please note that ESDS takes no responsibility for food presented in this way. Community-furnished foodstuffs are consumed at the dancer's own risk.
